Vacation

Well, I made it to my parent's house to drop my boys off while my hubs and I take off kidless for an entire week. Actually I think it's a week and a day before we see them again. The last time we were apart from them this long was a year ago. I don't think Allistar remembers that, and I'm not sure that he knows what's going on. He's only eighteen months old (on the 22) so I'm expecting him to act strange when we return. He might need some extra snuggles in the next couple of days. The first time we left Keegan he was around eighteen months old too. Nate had a work meeting in Daytona Beach, Florida, so I reluctantly absolutely tagged along. When we returned it was almost like Keegan didn't believe it was us. He saw us and then almost got scared and slowly backed across a whole room until he hit a wall. After a couple minutes of him being mad at us he caved and we got snuggles and kisses. So this is mostly what I'm expecting Allistar to do too, although he does still have Keegan so it might not be such a shock to him to be without mom and dad for a week.

My dad seems to be very excited about having them for a week. Since mom works he'll be the one chasing after them for the most part, although it is a long weekend so they will be at the cabin, and mom will get in plenty of snuggles and screaming too. He's got lots of plans every day, and being at the cabin will be super fun too, and there's a lot more exploring for the boys to do there too. I wonder if Allistar will remember the cabin? Either way he's going to LOVE it this year cuz his favorite thing is exploring. If I let him go and just follow him he is the happiest little guy in the world! Anyway, they have their swim trunks and I heard talk of going to the playground every day so I know I'm coming home to very tired grandparents next week. We sure do love them for it, though! This would never be possible otherwise, and my kids adore them so good times will be had by all.

I will be spending the next week trying not to eat sushi and drink caffiene in the home of sushi and caffiene - Seattle. I have been to Vancouver quite a few times, and Nathanael lived there for a year, but never made the trip three hours south to Seattle....home of the original Starbucks. How can I possibly drink decaf at the original Starbucks?! Blerg!! And all I want to eat right now is sushi and they have an abundance of fresh seafood there so this is going to be tough. I'm sure I'll get my fill of other seafoods, but it's really not the same. Ok that's enough complaining about my vacation and what I can't do. On to the exciting part. I have been missing my friends something superfierce the past four years and I can't even explain how excited I am to see them again, and meet their amazing, awe-inspiring daughter!! I can't wait to snuggle that sweet girl! So I guess I won't be totally childless, but it won't be my children, so it's different. The Hawkins and us used to be neighbors and be in each other's business all the time. And it was great! So there you have it...I'm signing off for a week. I have a supercute video of Allistar that I will put up later tonight when I arrive safely to my house again. That way you can watch the video over and over again, and it will hold you over until I get back with so many pictures and stories you'll be sick of me.

Weekend Update

It was so sunny out and warm today! We spent most of the morning outside. Allistar thought it was really fun to do this...
