What a sweet boy he is. Today was the first day in a long time, almost 5 months, that I got him to fall asleep for his nap without his pooty. I was relieved and sad at the same time. He needs to get rid of it sooner rather than later cuz he has teeth in already and he doesn't even really use it. I want him to just suck on his blanket if he needs comfort and I'm not there, like in the middle of the night to fall back asleep. But by the time I lay him down for his naps he is usually too tired or not tired enough and screams if i don't give him his pooty. For the last couple weeks I've not been giving it to him before bed cuz he's tired enough to just go to sleep. This morning he was too I guess. I just hope he can keep handling the switch as well as this morning.
A couple people have been asking for ideas for birthday/Christmas gifts for him already so here's a couple.
Not that I'm against toys but he really doesn't care about the ones we have. He does love hitting things and I think there is a toy drum out there that lights up and plays music. He also looooves Thomas the train right now. A picture for his room of some trains or stuffed trains or even battery operated trains that will fit on the train table are all good bets. We only have 1 Thomas book right now, and it plays sounds and he loves it. We read it every night before bed and most nap times too. I sure would like another train book cuz I'm getting mighty sick of this one. He also likes those books with the fur you can feel, etc. We don't have very many bath toys, but our kids love taking baths together now. We don't have any Thomas DVD's either. Well, that's a great start if I do say so. He could use a scarf for the winter too, and a coat that fits him (size 18months I think). He will be wearing Keegan's old one from last year, but it's a size 2 so it's pretty big still.
